Her arms wrapped around him
like a sweater as he pedals;
bicycle wheels duet bitumen,
zipping out love's undulating vocals.

Always, the sensation of falling
not out of love but deeper in .
​
Once or twice, a stunt. Stand-
cycling. That swerve at the end.
As if it were nature's extended hand.
