ARTISTIC STATEMENT: "I marveled at these fireworks and was inspired by their likeness to actual shooting stars. I am fascinated by stars and astronomy, but have yet to personally witness a real meteor shoot through the sky for those few precious seconds. So instead, this photograph represents my ideal shooting star, and continues to carry my hopes of one day laying eyes on one."
